"Amazing!!"
From embarkation to disembarkation we were welcomed and felt special. We celebrated our 30th Wedding and Birthday during our cruise and both were recognised with decorations on our cabin door and beautiful little cakes to mark each occasion which was a really nice gesture and appreciated. Our Lido deck cabin housekeeping steward "Noel" was so courteous and was always happy and smiling and his service was exceptional. Guest Services "Emelda" was so helpful, friendly and efficient. There was so much to see and do whilst onboard, although th shows were not what we would normally see however or simply lazing about by the pools or spas was so relaxing when not in port. We chose the anytime dining preference which suited our needs as we are not formal dining people unless it is a special occasion. We opted for the all inclusive drinks package at $49 U.S per person per day however we probably wouldn't do this again as it didn't turn out to good value for money for us. We did purchase the all inclusive photo package at $199 U.S however we only ended up with a few photos as most are taken at formal nights and set dining, it would have been great to have more less formal photo opportunities available for informal guests like us. All in all we had an amazing time and have made a future cruise booking deposit and look forward to the next cruising adventure!

"unexpected marriage proposal"
We decided to go on a cruise from San francisco to Auckland N.Z. through the South Pacific for 23 days. We had a marvellous time and met some great people who we still keep in touch with today. One morning two days into the cruise my partner Jack woke me up at 5.45am in the morning to ask me to marry him, I didnt believe what I was hearing and asked him to repeat it,I was in a state of shock and and when fully awake I said yes. We had been together 23 years and I never thought we would get married. The captain married us on the 3rd of October 2009 at 5pm, all our friends came and we went on to have a wonderful dinner and danced the night away. We had what is called Symbolic wedding as there was not time to do it all officially, we did have a beautiful wedding certificate, were prounced man and wife by the captain in the wedding chapel. We had all the trimmings wedding cake, flowers and music. On returning to New Zealand we organized another wedding and were legally married on the 13th of February in devonport on the North Shore of Auckland. I hope you will consider my story as it was a very memorable time for us both.
