Located northwest of Brisbane and part of the Lizard Island Group, Lizard Island is a national park on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. It is a granite island about 10 square kilometres in size, with three smaller islands nearby.
Aside from the national park, Lizard Island also contains a number of other facilities, such as Lizard Island Research Station and Lizard Island Resort.
