Abu Dhabi, on the coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Persian Gulf, is the capital and second largest city of the United Arab Emirates. Rapidly developed and urbanised, today Abu Dhabi is a large and advanced city and it is the country's center for politics, industry, culture and commerce. Abu Dhabi is hot and dry, and sunshine is to be expected throughout the year.
